In Matchweek 23 of ADNOC Pro League, held at Zabeel Stadium, Al Wasl defeated visitors Shabab Al Ahli with a 2–1 win.

Nicolas Gimenez gave Al Wasl the lead with a powerful shot from outside the box in the 20th minute.
In the second half, Fabio Lima added a second in the 48th minute with a strong left-footed strike following a defensive mistake by Shabab Al Ahli.
Ali Saleh nearly scored a third in the 55th minute, but his shot hit the post.
In the 80th minute, Saeid Ezatolahi scored for Shabab Al Ahli.
