Al Wasl Football Company announced the renewal of first-team football player and left-back Hugo Neto's contract until 2031, in a step that confirms the club management's keenness to enhance technical stability and maintain the elements that represent an important addition to the Emperor's squad.

The renewal of Neto's contract comes after the distinguished performances he delivered since joining the team from Botafogo, where he succeeded in proving his abilities and delivered a remarkable performance in the left-back position thanks to his speed and his defensive and offensive contributions.

Neto participated with Al Wasl in 26 league matches last season, 3 matches in the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup, and 9 matches in the AFC Champions League Elite 2, in which he scored one goal.

Al Wasl's management confirmed that the renewal of the player's contract is in line with the club's strategy aimed at building a team capable of competing for various domestic and continental championships, through maintaining the main pillars and supporting stability within the group in order to achieve more successes in the future.
