Al Wasl handball team secured qualification to the semifinals of the Men’s Al Watan Cup after defeating Dibba Al Hisn 29-27, in a match played at Mleeha Club Hall.
The encounter witnessed great competitiveness and excitement until the final moments, as regular time ended in a 23-23 draw, leading the two teams to extra time, which smiled upon Al Wasl thanks to the players’ experience and fighting spirit.
With this victory, Al Wasl will face Shabab Al Ahli in the semifinals, scheduled for next Saturday at Al Nasr Club’s arena.
