Al Wasl Collect the Three Points at Dibba Stadium

Al Wasl achieved a 3–1 victory over their hosts Dibba in the opening match of the tenth round of the ADNOC Pro League.

Al Wasl started the match with a lineup that included Khaled Al Senani in goal, with a defensive quartet of Pedro Malheiro, Tareq Issaoui, Adryelson Silva, and Hugo Neto. In midfield, Fabio Lima, Renato Tapia, Siaka Sidibe, and Nicolas Gimenez featured, while Ali Saleh and Serginho led the attack.

Al Wasl adopted an attacking approach from the opening whistle and managed to take an early lead in the third minute through Serginho, benefiting from a precise pass provided by Nicolas Gimenez. One minute later, Ali Saleh scored a second goal, but it was disallowed for offside.

Al Wasl continued their attacking pressure in search of extending their lead, but Samyon Cabr Al managed to score the equalizer for Dibba in the twentieth minute.

In the second half, Al Wasl quickly regained their advantage, as Nicolas Gimenez scored the second goal with a brilliant left-footed strike just two minutes after the restart, following a decisive assist from Serginho inside the Dibba penalty area. Gimenez’s brilliance did not stop there, as he went on to create another goal by delivering a perfectly weighted cross that was met by Adryelson Silva, who powered a strong header into the Dibba net in the sixty-fourth minute.

As the match approached its end, head coach Mesut Meral made two substitutions, bringing on Malek Janeer and Adama Diallo in place of Adryelson Silva and Fabio Lima. Serginho also left the pitch and was replaced by Brahian Palacios, while Nicolas Gimenez was substituted by Abdelrahman Saleh.

Al Wasl continued to search for more goals, and Serginho came close to scoring a fourth in the eighty-ninth minute with a high level of individual skill and dribbling past Dibba's defense, but luck was not on his side. The scoreline remained unchanged until the final whistle, as Al Wasl secured the win, raising their tally to 18 points and moving into third place in the league standings temporarily until the conclusion of the round’s matches.
