The press conference for Al Wasl’s match against Al Dhafra was held, scheduled within the twentieth round of the ADNOC Pro League at Za'abeel Stadium on Wednesday, the eighteenth of March, where the head coach of the first football team, Rui Vitoria, confirmed the importance of the match, indicating that the team is looking to achieve victory at home.
Vitoria said: "We have this match now, and of course it will be an important match for us because we want to deliver and achieve a different result than before, we want to win. We play at home against a good team, and I do not believe that we have easy matches."
He added: "Al Dhafra is a good team, and of course the match will be difficult. But at this moment we have to think about ourselves, we have to think about what we need to do to win. The players have been good in training, and they did well in the last days, and we are preparing very well."
He confirmed that the team will enter the match with high morale to achieve victory: "Therefore, the expectations are high, and we have to go to the match with determination and ambition to win, and to show that we have quality. This is the main idea that we have to deliver to everybody and to ourselves in the first place. It will be a difficult match, but we want to play and face the opponent as we do when we play at home, and of course we want to win."
For his part, Al Wasl player Renato Junior confirmed the importance of the match, indicating that the team enters the match with strong motivation to achieve victory.
Junior said: "We play this time against Al Dhafra, and I do not think it will be an easy match, as all matches in the league are difficult, and every team wants to win the points."
He concluded his statements: "Our motivations make us give everything we have to win the match, as we play at home and among our fans, and we want to compensate after the last two defeats."
