Rui Vitória, head coach of the first football team of Al Wasl FC, confirmed his team’s readiness to face Al Jazira Club in the twenty-fifth round of the UAE Pro League.

Vitória explained during his speech at the pre-match press conference that Al Wasl fully realizes the difficulty of the match against Al Jazira, while at the same time stressing that the team’s players are ready for the game.

Vitória said: “Regarding the upcoming match, of course it will be a difficult game against a good team, a team that has the same objective as us, which is to win the match and overtake our position at this moment. But, at the same time, we are prepared for the difficulties that we may face, and we know what the other team wants to do.”

Vitória stressed the importance of focus and discipline throughout the match, emphasizing that small details could be decisive in such big games. He added: “We need to be humble and focused, and to have great concentration because details can make the difference.”

The Portuguese coach pointed out that Al Wasl’s recent victory against Al Wahda gave the team a major morale boost, but at the same time he confirmed that the match against Al Jazira will be completely different in terms of circumstances and the nature of the opponent. He said: “Of course, at this moment I know that we achieved good results, and the last match against Al Wahda gave us very good confidence, but we know that it will be a different match and a different opponent.”

Vitória confirmed that his team enjoys playing strong matches, adding: “We like this challenge and we need this kind of match to put us under pressure, and we know how to deal with this kind of game.”

He concluded his statements: “At the end of the day it will be a difficult match, but we have big ambition and we want to go there to prove our quality and that we deserve third place in the standings, and we will do everything in order to win. The players have done a very good job, everyone has confidence, the atmosphere is good, and everyone is ready to try to win the three points.”

For his part, player Brahian Palacios considered the match against Al Jazira to be difficult, and that the game carries great importance for both sides due to the similarity of their objectives. He said: “The Al Jazira match will not be easy and we are facing a good team with great capabilities, and what increases its difficulty is that both teams carry the same goals and ambitions, but we will play with high concentration in order to secure the three points.”
