Al Wasl drew 2-2 with their hosts Al Ain in Matchweek 5 of the ADNOC Pro League.

Al Wasl were represented by Dinko Horkas in goal, with a defensive quartet of Hugo Neto, Adryelson Silva, Soufiane Bouftini, and Pedro Malheiro. The midfield featured Brahian Palacios, Siaka Sidibe, Ridwan Popoola, Nicolas Gimenez, and Serginho, with Mehdi Taremi leading the attack.

Al Wasl started the match with offensive pressure from the opening whistle, with the first attempt coming through Brahian Palacios in the first minute, striking the side netting of Al Ain's goal. In the 10th minute, Nicolas Gimenez played a high cross into the penalty area toward Mehdi Taremi, which was cleared by Al Ain's defense.

Valentin Lazaro scored the equalizer for Al Ain in the 82nd minute. Pedro Malheiro nearly scored a third goal for Al Wasl in the fifth minute of stoppage time, but luck was not on his side, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw between the two teams.
