Al Wasl Football Company announced the completion of the signing procedures with Spanish midfielder Cameron Puertas, coming from Saudi club Al Qadsiah, to wear the first team’s football shirt.

Puertas began his football career with Swiss club FC Forward Morges, then FC Lausanne-Sport, and afterwards Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise. He had a professional experience in the Arabian Gulf through Saudi club Al Qadsiah, and played on loan for German club Werder Bremen before joining Al Wasl after the end of his loan.

Puertas won the Swiss second-tier championship once, the Belgian league championship once, the Belgian Cup and the Belgian Super Cup, and was selected as the Belgian league Player of the Year for the 2023–2024 season.
