Al Wasl Football Company officially announced the signing of French defender Kurt Zouma (31 years old) to strengthen the first football team’s defense on a contract that runs until the end of the current 2025–2026 season.
Zouma brings with him rich football experience and a distinguished career, having represented French side Saint-Étienne, and the English clubs Chelsea, Stoke City, Everton and West Ham united. He also played in the Saudi League with Al-Orobah on loan from West Ham, and moved at the beginning of the current season to CFR Cluj before later joining Al Wasl.

The French defender’s career is filled with major titles, most notably the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in 2021, the English Premier League in the 2015 and 2017 seasons, Football League Cup in the 2015 season, and the UEFA Super Cup in the 2021 season. He also won the UEFA Europa Conference League with West Ham United in 2023.

At the international level, he won the FIFA Under 20 World Cup once with the French national team in 2013, and the UEFA Nations League once in 2021.
