Al Wasl drew with its guest Al Jazira 2-2 in the conclusion of the twenty-fifth round of the Pro League Under-23.

Al Wasl was represented in the match byYousuf Alrahma  in goal, Khalid Ali, Abdallah Hausawi, Tarek Issaoui and Salem Al Azeezi in defense, and in midfield Joao Ferreira, Ali Ismail Madani and Abdulla Ahmed, while the attack included Naif Ahmed, Mario Zacarias and Rabie Hassan Salmin.

Al Wasl started the match with attacking pressure and continuous attempts to score, but they were unsuccessful in the first half.

At the beginning of the second half, Al Wasl continued its attacks on Al Jazira’s goal and took the lead in the forty-eighth minute from the penalty spot through Rabie Hassan Salmin after Khalid Ali was fouled inside Al Jazira’s penalty area. In the sixtieth minute, Mario Zacarias strengthened Al Wasl’s lead with a beautiful header after a beautiful cross from Abdullah Ahmed.

Head coach Mr. Tiago Teixeira made substitutions as Roy Mbongui and Abu Ibrahima Konate participated as substitutes for Joao Ferreira and Mario Zacarias, while Mohammed Fouad Ayoun replaced Abdulla Ahmed. Abdullah bader Marzouq and Kelton Lopes also participated as substitutes for Salem Al Azeezi and Naif Ahmed.

Ali Al Memari reduced the deficit for Al Jazira in the eightieth minute from a penalty kick, and equalized for Al Jazira two minutes later.

The Emperor intensified its attacks to score the winning goal, but the attempts of its players were unsuccessful, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw. Al Wasl occupies fifth place in the standings with 37 points.
