Luis Castro, the head coach of Al Wasl’s first football team, confirmed that his team enters the match with high morale, expressing his confidence in the players’ ability to deliver a distinguished performance against Al Ain.
Castro said during the pre-match press conference: “We will play the UAE Clasico, and of course, it is a strong match.”
He continued: “We are looking for a good game, and we know the difficulties that await us, but we go into this match with great confidence. We hope to perform strongly, and we want to collect the three points. We are also well aware that Al Ain wants to claim the points of the match.”
He concluded his statements: “We have high confidence that this match will be a big one in the league, and we hope to make our fans happy. Our squad is complete after the return of the international players, and tomorrow we will conduct the final training before Saturday’s match.”
For his part, Nicolas Gimenez, Al Wasl’s playmaker, stressed the importance of the match, saying: “We are aware that the team we will face is very strong, and we know well that we are going to play the Clasico against Al Ain. We want to come out with a good result.”
He continued: “We will give our utmost effort, and we want to perform well in this match, especially since we have new players who are still adapting to the new environment and climate.”
