Al Wasl FC has officially reached an agreement with Manchester City FC, in which MCFC will loan the 24-years-old Australian midfielder Anthony Cáceres for one year. Cáceres has recently finished his loan period with Melbourne City where he played last season and delivered spectacular performance.
Cáceres is going be the fourth foreign player in Al Wasl FC squad, beside Fabio De Lima, Caio Canedo, and Ronaldo Mendez.
It’s worth mentioning that Anthony Cáceres started his professional career with Central Coast Mariners in 2012. Between 2012 and 2016 Cáceres played 62 matches and 4 Asian Champions League with his team, before he was moved to Manchester City FC, then immediately loaned out to Melbourne City.
Mohammed al Amri, CEO of Al Wasl FC, said that Anthony Cáceres will add real value to the Arabian Gulf League with his amazing skills, and wide experience. “We decided to sign with Cáceres after recommendation from our coaching staff which praised the player’s talent. Cáceres, who chose to wear jersey number 8 with Al Wasl, expressed his happiness after signing with Al Wasl FC to start new exciting experience in the Arabian Gulf League. He praised the great history and wide popularity of Al Wasl, which were decisive factors in his decision to move to Dubai. Cáceres promised to give his best with his colleagues for his new team to help leading Al Wasl back to podiums.
