The athletics team of Al Wasl Club was crowned with the title of the Vice President’s Cup for the senior category for the 2025–2026 sports season, after an outstanding performance and clear dominance over the competitions of the championship, which was held at the track of Khorfakkan Club.

The “Emperor” achieved this crowning after collecting a large number of gold, silver, and bronze medals, to confirm its superiority in the championship, as its players won the following medals:

Suleiman Abdulrahman – Gold medal (200 meters)
Suleiman Abdulrahman – Gold medal (400 meters)
Semen Bordav – Gold medal (shot put)
Vladimir Lysenko – Gold medal (400 meters hurdles)
Matvey Tishenkin – Gold medal (high jump)
Mohammed Abdullah Abbas – Gold medal (triple jump)
Gold medal – 4×100 relay
Gold medal – 4×400 relay
Ali Mohammed – Silver medal (100 meters)
Jassim Mohammed – Silver medal (shot put)
Saud Juma – Silver medal (800 meters)
Ali Mohammed – Bronze medal (200 meters)

The awarding ceremony was held in the presence of Khayyam Abdulaziz, member of the Individual and Team Sports Company and athletics supervisor. This victory comes as a result of the great effort exerted by the technical and administrative staff, the continuous work in preparing the players, and as a confirmation of Al Wasl Club’s status as one of the most prominent clubs in athletics at the state level and its ability to compete and win titles in major championships.
