Al Wasl's response came quickly in the 76th minute, after Ali Saleh capitalised on a defensive mistake by Air Force and passed the ball to Mehdi Taremi, who in turn set it up with a cross inside the penalty area for Nicolás Giménez, who struck it powerfully into the net to score the Emperor's fourth goal.
Despite their advantage, Al Wasl continued their attacks on the Air Force goal, and Fábio Lima came close to scoring a fifth goal in the 73rd minute with a powerful shot that went just wide of the post. Against the run of play, Murad Mohammed scored Air Force's third goal in the 80th minute. Al Wasl continued their attacking attempts, but were unable to find the net again, as the referee's final whistle confirmed a 4-3 victory for Al Wasl.
