Al Wasl achieved victory over its host Al Dhafra by one goal to nil, within the competitions of the twentieth round of the Pro League Under 23 years.

Al Wasl’s lineup for the match came as follows: Moriba Camara in goal, and in defense Rodrigo Oliveira, Abdallah Hausawi, Tarek Issaoui, and Abdulla Bader Marzooq. In midfield were Abdulla Ahmed, Ali Ismail Madani, and Joao Ferreira, while the attacking trio consisted of Saif Nasser, Abou Ibrahima Konate, and Naif Ahmed.

Al Wasl sought to score from the start of the match, but the attempts of its players were not successful.

In the second half, and to strengthen the attacking pressure, head coach Tiago Teixeira made several substitutions to the lineup, bringing on Rabee Hassan Salmin, Rodrigo Menezes, and Rashed Al Mazrooei as substitutes for Saif Nasser, Joao Ferreira, and Abdulla Bader Marzooq. Abou Ibrahima Konate and Ali Ismail Madani also left, with Dimas Filho and Khalifa Khamis saad coming on in their place, with the latter snatching the winning goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time.

With this victory, Al Wasl raised its points tally to 32 points and sits in fourth place in the league standings.
