Al Wasl lost to their guest Sharjah 1-2, in Matchweek 21 of the Pro League Under 23 Years.

Al Wasl’s lineup for the match was as follows: Moriba Camara as goalkeeper; Khalid Ali, Abdullah Hausawi, Tarek Issaoui, and Salem Al Azeezi in defense. In midfield: Naif Ahmed, Abdulla Ahmed, Ali Ismail Madani, Dimas Filho, and Saif Nasser, and in attack: Khalifa Khamis Saad.

Al Wasl pressed from the beginning to score, and had several chances that were not successful, until Saif Nasser managed to put Al Wasl ahead in the 37th minute, while Sharjah equalized through Nicolas Clemente in the first minute of stoppage time.

In the second half, Al Wasl continued searching for the second goal, but against the run of play, Sharjah scored the second goal through Dhari Fahad in the 66th minute.

Al Wasl head coach Tiago Teixeira made substitutions to strengthen the attacking side, bringing on Rashed Al Mazrooei, Mario Zacarias, and Mouhamed Bobo Ba instead of Saif Nasser, Abdulla Ahmed, and Salem Al Azeezi. Abou Ibrahima Konate and Rabie Hassan Salmin also came on as substitutes for Ali Ismail Madani and Dimas Filho.

Al Wasl’s pressure continued in search of the equalizer, but the yellow team’s attacks were unsuccessful, and the match ended with Sharjah winning 2-1.
