The introductory press conference for the Al Wasl vs. Al Nasr match (Bur Dubai Derby) was held at Al Wasl Club, as part of the fifteenth round of the ADNOC Pro League. The match will be played at Al Maktoum Stadium on Thursday, the fifth of February.

During the conference, the head coach of the first football team, Mr. Mesut Meral, confirmed that the derby match represents an important stage for the team, saying:
“The derby is a great thing and a good opportunity for us to bounce back strongly. We have done it before, and we hope to be able to do it again in front of our fans away from our stadium.”

He added:
“Well, as I said, we need to go back to being humble and find stability, because we have a lot of potential in this group, and we hope to be able to achieve the victory.”

For his part, Al Wasl player Fabio Lima stressed the importance of the match, saying:
“The match against Al Nasr is very important for us because it is a big game. We are trying to come back again in the league, and we know how important this match is.”

He continued:
“Matches against Al Nasr are always difficult, as it is a strong team, and it has many high-quality players and a good coach.”

He concluded his statements by emphasizing the team’s desire to win and secure the match points, saying:
“We will try to give our best to collect the three points and continue in the league, as the recent results were bad for our ambitions in the competition. However, we will try to get the three points and look forward.”
