Al Wasl lost to their visitors, Shabab Al Ahli, by one goal to nil, in the third round of the ADNOC Pro League.

Al Wasl's lineup for the match was as follows: Mohamed Al Wali in goal, with the defensive four being Hugo Neto, Adryelson Silva, Soufiane Bouftini and Pedro Malheiro, while in midfield were Serginho, Nicolas Gimenez, Ridwan Popoola, Siaka Sidibe and Ali Saleh, and Renato Junior led the attack.

Al Wasl started the match with pressure in search of the opening goal. Pedro Malheiro attempted to score from an indirect free kick in the thirty-third minute, which was cleared by Shabab Al Ahli's defense, followed a minute later by a cross from Adryelson Silva ,which was also cleared by the defense.

Al Wasl's most dangerous chance came in the thirty-ninth minute with a cross from Pedro Malheiro, which Renato Junior followed with a powerful header that went beside the post. The post again denied Al Wasl the opening goal after a powerful left-footed shot from Siaka Sidibe in the second minute of added time.

In the second half, Shabab Al Ahli took the lead through Guilherme da Silva in the fifty-fourth minute.

Al Wasl responded with intensive attacks, and in the fifty-seventh minute, Pedro Malheiro played an indirect free kick that reached Sofian Bouftini, who was unable to make the most of it.

To intensify the attacking pressure, head coach Rui Vitoria made substitutions, bringing on Mehdi Taremi, Renato Tapia and Abdelrahman Saleh in place of Serginho, Ridwan Popoola and Hugo Neto, while Matheus Saldanha and Brahian Palacios came on for Renato Junior and Ali Saleh.

Al Wasl's attacking attempts continued, and their players intensified their efforts to score. In the seventy-sixth minute, Mehdi Taremi played a ball that almost entered the net, but he was unsuccessful in scoring. In the eighty-third minute, Palacios shot a ball that struck Shabab Al Ahli's defense and reached Abdulrahman Saleh, who shot it towards the goal, but the defense cleared it.
