Al Wasl first football team recorded a convincing 3-1 victory over Dutch side De Treffers, with Nicolas Gimenez scoring a brace and Renato Junior adding the third goal, in the team's third friendly match of the training camp being held in the Dutch town of Tiel, as part of the preparations for the 2026-2027 football season.

The match came as part of the team's technical preparation programme aimed at raising the players' physical and technical readiness, enhancing cohesion among the squad members, assessing the team's level through facing different European sides, and providing the new players with valuable experience while improving their level ahead of the start of the official competitions.
