Al Wasl Football Company has announced the signing of Brazilian defender Adryelson da Silva (27 years old) from French club Lyon, making him the fourth foreign professional in the squad alongside Peruvian international Renato Tapia, Moroccan Soufiane Bouftini, and fellow Brazilian Matheus Saldanha.

Adryelson previously played for Al Wasl during the 2021–2022 season on loan from Sport Recife, the club where he began his professional career. He then went on to play for Botafogo, winning the Copa Libertadores in the 2023–2024 season, followed by a move to Lyon. During his time with Lyon, he was loaned out to both Botafogo and Belgian side Anderlecht, before officially signing with the Emperor.
