Al Wasl returns with the three points from Al Wahda’s stadium

Al Wasl achieved a 3-2 victory over its host Al Wahda in the twenty-fourth round of the ADNOC Pro League.

Al Wasl entered the match with the following lineup: Mohammed Al Wali in goal, Hugo Neto, Gabriel Da Silva, Adryelson Silva and Pedro Malheiro in defense; in midfield Ali Saleh, Nicolas Gimenez, Malek Janeer, Siaka Sidibe and Brahian Palacios; and Miguel Borja led the attack.
Al Wasl started with attacking pressure from the opening whistle, as Ali Saleh delivered a cross in the second minute to Brahian Palacios, who passed it to Miguel Borja who almost scored the first goal early, but an Al Wahda defender cleared the ball.
Two minutes later, Miguel Borja put Al Wasl ahead with a beautiful header after a precise assist and cross from Brahian Palacios.
Al Wahda equalized in the thirty-fifth minute through Facundo Daniel, and Al Wasl responded with quick attacks on Al Wahda’s goal that did not succeed.

The head coach of Al Wasl made substitutions to strengthen the attack, bringing on renato Junior and Serginho as substitutes for Miguel Borja and Brahian Palacios, and Renato Tapia, Fabio Lima and Rodrigo Oliveira came in instead of Malek Janeer, Ali Saleh and Nicolas Gimenez.
The yellow team continued its attacks, and Nicolas Gimenez scored the second goal for Al Wasl from the penalty spot in the fifty-fifth minute, and Omar Khribin equalized for Al Wahda in the sixty-sixth minute from a penalty.
Al Wasl responded with quick attacks that were not successful until the seventh minute of stoppage time, when Fabio Lima scored the winning goal from the penalty spot after Renato Junior was fouled in Al Wahda’s penalty area.

With this victory, Al Wasl raises its tally to forty-two points and moves to third place in the league standings.
