The Wasl pressure paid off with the equalizer in the fifty-second minute through Colombian Miguel Borja, following a well-taken corner by Nicolas Gimenez and a fine leap to head the ball into Al Nasr’s net.
Seeking to strengthen the attack, Al Wasl head coach Mr. Mesut Meral made substitutions, bringing on Serginho and Brahian Palacios in place of Ali Saleh and Fabio Lima. Abdulrahman Saleh and Renato Junior also came on as substitutes for Hugo Neto and Miguel Borja.
Al Wasl continued to threaten Al Nasr’s goal with quick attacks that lacked the final touch, while the crossbar denied Brayan Palacios a goal in the eighty-seventh minute after a powerful shot.

Three minutes later, Gimenez took a direct free kick that went just wide of the post, as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
