Al Wasl’s match against host Kalba ended in a 2-2 draw, as part of the twelfth round of the ADNOC Pro League.
Al Wasl started the match with the following lineup: Khaled Al Senani in goal, with a back four of Pedro Malheiro, Soufiane Bouftini, Adryelson Silva, and Hugo Neto. In midfield, Renato Tapia, Fabio Lima, Siaka Sidibe, Nicolas Gimenez, and Serginho featured, while Ali Saleh led the attack.
Al Wasl entered the first half strongly, as the players pushed forward early toward Kalba’s goal and imposed their control on the course of play. In the sixth minute, Gimenez threatened Kalba’s goal with a precise long ball that reached Ali Saleh, but Kalba goalkeeper Sultan Al Mentheri caught it.
Al Wasl continued its attacking pressure, and in the twenty-third minute Nicolas Gimenez played a ball into the penalty area to Fabio Lima, who failed to follow it up successfully.
On the other hand, Kalba relied on defensive organization to deal with Al Wasl’s attacks. Al Wasl’s pressure resulted in the second goal through Ali Saleh in the seventy-fifth minute, but Kalba equalized again through Shahriyar Moghanloo in the eighty-second minute.
