Al Wasl lost to its host Shabab Al Ahli by three goals to one in a postponed match from Round Nine of the ADNOC Pro League.

Al Wasl’s starting lineup for the match was as follows: Khaled Al Senani in goal; a defensive quartet consisting of Pedro Malheiro, Soufiane Bouftini, Adryelson Silva, and Hugo Neto. In midfield were Ali Saleh, Siaka Sidibe, Renato Tapia, Nicolas Gimenez, and Serginho, while Adama Diallo led the attack.

Al Wasl sought to score from the beginning, and their most dangerous chance in the first half came from a beautiful ball by Ali Saleh in the thirty-fifth minute, which nearly entered the goal after a corner that was cleared by Shabab Al Ahli’s defense. Al Wasl tried to equalize, and Renato Junior nearly scored for Al Wasl in the seventy-eighth minute with a bicycle kick that was unlucky not to go in.
