Al Wasl achieved a victory over their hosts Al Wahda by two goals to nil, as part of the eleventh round of the Pro League Under 23 years.

Al Wasl started the match with a lineup based on a 4-5-1 formation, with Suhail Abdulla in goal; Daniel Pedrozo, Tarek Issaoui, Abdallah Hausawi and Khaled Ali in defense; Rabee Hassan Salmin, Joao Ferreira, Ali Ismail Madani, Abdulla Al Shamsi and Nayef Ahmed in midfield; while Renato Junior played as the lone striker.

Al Wasl pressed from the beginning to score the opening goal, but their attempts were not successful in the first half.

In the second half, Rabee Hassan Salmin opened the scoring for Al Wasl in the seventy-third minute.

Head coach Mr. Tiago Teixeira made substitutions to strengthen the team’s lead, as Ali Ismail Madani, Joao Ferreira, Abdulla Al Shamsi and Rabee Hassan Salmin left the pitch, and Abdulla Ahmed, Dimas Filho, Mohammed Fuad Ayoun, Khalifa Khamis Saad and Fares Khalil came on.

Naif Ahmed extended Al Wasl’s lead in the fifth minute of stoppage time, and the match ended with Al Wasl winning by two goals to nil.

With this victory, Al Wasl raised their points tally to 18 points and moved into third place in the league standings temporarily, pending the completion of the round’s matches.
