Al Wasl lost to its host Al Bataeh in the seventeenth round of the Pro League Under 23 years with a score of 2-4.

Al Wasl started with a lineup that included Moriba Kamara as goalkeeper; Rodrigo Oliveira, Omar Hussain Haikal, Abdallah Hausawi and Khalid Ali in defense. In midfield were Faris Khalil, Abdulla Ahmed, Ali Ismail Madani, Abdulla Al Shamsi and Rabee Hassan Salmin. In attack was Dimas Filho.

Al Wasl pressed to score from the beginning, and Faris Khalil gave the lead in the thirty-second minute, while Nouha Dicko equalized for Al Bataeh in the thirty-sixth minute.

In the second half, coach Tiago Teixeira made substitutions in the team lineup, bringing on Kelton Lopes, Mamadou Lamine, Mario Zacarias, Rodrigo Menezes and Badr Nasser Khamis as substitutes for Ali Ismail Madani, Fares Khalil, Abdullah Al Shamsi, Omar Hussein Haikal and Dimas Filho.

Joao Carrijo scored for Al Bataeh in the forty-eighth minute, Mohammed Abdulla in the sixty-first minute, and Saeed Juma in the eighty-sixth minute, while Mario Zacarias reduced the deficit for Al Wasl in the third minute of stoppage time.

With this result, Al Wasl’s tally freezes at 26 points and the team sits fourth in the standings.
