Al Wasl defeat Dibba with a four-goal victory in the league


Al Wasl achieved a win over their guest Dibba by four goals to two in the 23rd round of the ADNOC Pro League.

Al Wasl’s lineup for the match came as follows: Mohammed Al Wali in goal, Abdelrahman Saleh, Gabriel da Silva, Adryelson Silva and Pedro Malheiro in defense, in midfield Ali Saleh, Nicolas Gimenez, Malek Janeer, Fabio Lima and Brahian Palacios, and in attack Miguel Borja.

Al Wasl imposed their style from the beginning and pressed strongly searching for the opening goal, and they almost opened the scoring early through a header from Fabio Lima in the 2nd minute, but it went over the crossbar, before Nicolas Gimenez returned with a powerful attempt in the 17th minute that did not find its way to the net.

The opening goal came in the 19th minute, when Fabio Lima succeeded in putting Al Wasl ahead with a wonderful technical touch, after a corner taken by Gimenez and a header from Serginho, the ball reached him and he followed it with his heel into the net elegantly.

Dibba reduced the difference through Drissa Coulibaly in the 26th minute, but Al Wasl responded quickly, after Miguel Borja scored the second goal from the penalty spot in the 39th minute, before Brahian Palacios strengthened the score with a third goal in the 43rd minute with a powerful left-footed shot inside the penalty area.

In the second half, head coach Rui Vitória made substitutions represented by the enterance of Soufiane Bouftini in place of Adryelson Silva, and Renato Tapia, Renato Júnior, Hugo Neto and Rodrigo Oliveira also came in place of Fabio Lima, Miguel Borja, Abdelrahman Saleh and Brahian Palacios.

Al Wasl continued their attacking pressure, translating their superiority with a fourth goal in the 53rd minute through Fabio Lima, after a precise cross from Nicolás Giménez, which Lima followed into the net with a powerful shot.

Despite Dibba reducing the difference in the 77th minute from a penalty kick, Al Wasl continued their attacks on Dibba’s goal but they were not successful, and the match ended with Al Wasl winning by four goals to two.
