Al Wasl Football Company has announced the signing of young Brazilian defender Gabriel Vareta (20 years old), who joins the club from Palmeiras in Brazil, as part of the club’s efforts to bolster the first team ahead of the 2025–2026 season. The player will be registered under the resident category.

Faretto began his football career with Palmeiras, where he won several titles, including the Brazilian Serie A, the Paulista Championship, and the Brazilian Super Cup. He also played with Al-Fayha in Saudi Arabia on a loan.
