Al Wasl Football Company has officially announced the signing of UAE international defender Sasa Ivkovic from Al Wahda club. The player will join The Emperor ahead of the 2026–27 season as part of the club’s efforts to strengthen the first-team squad and reinforce its defensive options for upcoming domestic and continental competitions.

Ivkovic brings extensive professional experience, having started his career in Serbia with FK Partizan Belgrade in 2014 before moving to FK Vozdovac in 2015. He later joined Slovenian club NK Maribor in 2018. In 2019, he moved to Baniyas, before signing for Al Wahda in 2024.

During the previous season, Ivkovic made 19 appearances in the UAE Pro League and featured in five AFC Champions League Elite matches. He also won with Al Wahda Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank(ADIB) Cup.
