Castro: We enter the return match with high morale… and Adama: Happy with the brace and helping the team to win

The head coach of Al Wasl, Mr. Luis Castro, spoke at the pre-match press conference for his team’s match against Al Dhafra in the second leg of the first round of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup.

Castro said: "We will play the upcoming match in the cup second leg as well as we played in the first leg. Our ambition is to develop the team and look at the ball as an opportunity to advance." He added: "At the beginning of this period we faced some problems, and we have worked and are still working on them to reach a solution. We will enter the match while working to solve the problems we faced in the previous match, and we will try to win and advance the team."

He continued: "The previous match left us optimistic about the upcoming match, because we felt there were problems at the beginning of the match, but by the end of the match we began solving them, and this is what we will do in the upcoming match." He concluded: "It is very good that we have returned to our true level, and we will play on our home ground. I hope we deliver good and satisfying results for the fans, and this is what we are working on."

On his part, Al Wasl striker Adama Diallo spoke about the team’s preparations for the match and said: "Our preparations are going well, and we are following the coach’s instructions. I am happy to have scored two goals in the first-leg match and to have helped the team achieve victory, and I hope we continue that in the return match and secure the qualification to the next round."
