Al Wasl Club held the pre-match press conference for the team’s encounter with United, as part of the opening round of the ADNOC Pro League, which will be played next Saturday, August 15.
Rui Vitória, head coach of Al Wasl’s first football team, confirmed his team’s readiness to play its first match in the ADNOC Pro League, stressing the importance of making a strong start to the team’s league campaign and securing the three points against United.
Vitória said: “We have prepared well for the match, and we are excited to play it. The first match has its own special character, and it will certainly be difficult like all matches, but we are ready to fight for the three points.”
He added: “United are a good team. They have new players and a well-known coach, but we must enter the match with full concentration. We are in the right mental state, and we are seeking to achieve victory.”
He concluded his remarks by saying: “Everyone wants to start the season in a very good way and collect the three points, and this is what we aspire to.”
For his part, goalkeeper Mohamed Al Wali spoke about Al Wasl’s upcoming match against United, saying: “The first match in the league is important for us as a team to make a good start to our league campaign. We deal with each match separately, and our first stop in the league is against United. I hope that we can achieve the three points, God willing.”
