Al Wasl Football Academy organized a specialized training workshop for goalkeeper coaches, targeting Under-21 coaches and academy goalkeepers across all age groups, in cooperation with the UAE Football Association, as part of the academy’s keenness to develop technical staff and enhance the efficiency of training operations. The workshop was supervised by Goalkeeper Coaches Supervisor Yassin bin Tal‘a, with the participation of Ahmed Zakaria, AFC instructor and Technical Director of Goalkeeper Coaches at the UAE Football Association.
The workshop focused on the latest scientific and technical methods in goalkeeper training, in addition to discussing the tactical and physical aspects related to developing the goalkeeper’s level, in line with the requirements and developments of modern football, as well as building the goalkeeper’s character and enhancing his confidence on the field.
This workshop comes within the academy’s strategy aimed at preparing a distinguished generation of goalkeepers and qualifying coaches according to the best approved standards and modern training methods, in a way that positively reflects on the level of the age-group teams.
The cooperation with the UAE Football Association reflects the keenness of both parties to unify technical visions and exchange expertise, in a manner that serves the development of national football and enhances the quality of technical work within academies.
